Enemy continues assault on Lyman and Sievierodonetsk

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in its war update as of 18:00 on May 24.

"In the Donetsk direction, the enemy continues to conduct active offensive operations, trying to break through the defenses of our troops and reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk region," the statement said.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy launched air strikes on civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Kramatorsk, Lyman and Sloviansk.

In the Lyman area, the enemy intensified hostilities. With the support of artillery and aircraft, Russian forces are holding the offensive towards the settlement of Lyman.

In the Sievierodonetsk direction, with the support of artillery fire, the enemy is advancing in the direction of the settlement of Sievierodonetsk, the fighting continues.
