Missiles fired by Russian invaders at the city of Zaporizhzhia have hit a shopping center and private homes, killing at least one person and injuring three others.

The press service of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, May 25, 2022, at 05:13, Russian troops launched four cruise missiles at the city of Zaporizhzhia. One of them was shot down by our air defense. The other three attacked two neighborhoods of the city – they fired at civilian facilities in the Shevchenkivskyi district and a shopping center in the Oleksandrivskyi district," the statement said.

At least 62 private homes were damaged, the report said.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in its war update as of 06:00 on May 25 that the enemy has intensified the use of aircraft to support their ground offensive. Due to the lack of stockpiles of high-precision missile weapons, the enemy is looking for other ways to destroy critical and military facilities in Ukraine.
