The death toll in Russia’s shelling of downtown Kharkiv has increased to seven, and 17 more civilians have been injured.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Today the enemy has insidiously shelled the city of Kharkiv. Such districts as Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi and Pavlove Pole came under enemy fire. Seven civilians were killed and 17 injured, including a 9-year-old child,” Syniehubov told.

In his words, Russian invaders again cause terror against civilians, but the Ukrainian military know their stuff and push the enemy away from the region.

“Fierce battles are raging in the northern, north-eastern and Izium directions. The enemy is suffering significant losses,” Syniehubov added.

A reminder that, on May 26, 2022, Russian troops shelled the city of Kharkiv. As of 04:00 p.m., five civilians were reported killed and 10 injured.
