Enemy shelled 49 localities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions over past day

The Russian army shelled 49 localities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, eastern Ukraine, over the past 24 hours. Four people were killed in Donetsk region.

“Over the past day, May 27, 49 localities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions came under Russian fire. Civilians die under the enemy fire. Russian war criminals killed four civilians and wounded at least five more in Donetsk region. The information on Luhansk region is being clarified,” the Joint Forces grouping posted on Facebook.

The enemy destroyed and damaged about 100 civilian objects, including 81 houses, a fire station, the Siniat construction plant, the Artem agriculture enterprise, a service station, and the Floresta recreation center. Two filter pumping stations were powered down.

The units of the State Emergency Service, part of the Joint Forces grouping, put out five fires over the past day.

Pyrotechnicians detected and neutralized 40 explosive devices.

Over the past 24 hours, rescuers evacuated 1,367 people from the areas of hostilities.

As reported, on May 27, the Joint Forces’ members repulsed eight enemy attacks and destroyed five enemy tanks, 10 armored personnel vehicles, and four vehicles (one with ammunition).
