Six bodies found under rubble of Mariupol household hit by Russian tank
Adviser to the Mariupol mayor Petro Andriushchenko delivered the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
He recalled a Russia Today (RT) propaganda video showing a Russian tank pummeling Mariupol homes for the sake of a good TV shot. This video was filmed near Pashkovskoho Street and Pershoho Travnia Avenue.
"Now the occupiers have gotten down to destroying evidence of their own crimes in the area. Yesterday, six bodies of civilians were retrieved from under the rubble at one of the houses (pictured) that was shot at by a Russian tank for the sake of a good show. Five male bodies and a female body. The ‘find’ was immediately taken to a mass grave in the village of Vyhohradne," writes Petro Andriushchenko.
He noted that this is the first recorded and indisputable fact of civilian killing in Mariupol committed for the sake of hot video content.
In Mariupol, Russia's aggression has caused one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes across Ukraine. The city was virtually destroyed by Russian shelling and bombing.
Today, Mariupol has no stable energy, water, or gas supply. Since Russian invasion, up to 22,000 civilians have been killed in town. Today, almost 150,000 people remain in the captured settlement.
The town is currently on the verge of ecological and epidemic catastrophes.
