Ukraine’s Armed Forces eliminate 19 invaders, down four cruise missiles in south
"Unsuccessful in advancing on land, the enemy launched an airstrike with a pair of Ka-52 helicopters on our positions. There are no losses. In turn, our Air Force attacked with two Su-25 the enemy clusters near Ivanivka in Kherson region. The army aircraft launched two more strikes on the enemy clusters in the area of Soldatske and Davydiv Brid," the Operational Command "South" posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
It is noted that 19 Russian invaders, a Msta-B howitzer, three Giatsint-S self-propelled guns and an ammunition depot were eliminated by missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces in the course of fire missions. The other losses are being clarified.
Three enemy missile ships and a submarine, as well as five large landing ships, are on combat missions in the Black Sea. It was from a submarine that the enemy launched missiles.
One cruise missile was shot down over the sea in Odesa region, three more – over Mykolayiv region.
According to the military, Ukrainian operators' mobile communications and Internet were restored in some communities in Kherson region. Also, mobile communication is partially available in the de-occupied territories of the region: in Kochubeyevka and Novovorontsovka communities.
"The occupiers are afraid of the growing resistance among the local population of Kherson region. Locals continue to resist. Every day flags, motivational inscriptions and ‘messages’ for the occupiers appear in the regional center, leaflets are distributed. The leadership of the occupying power moves with a large number of guards, in bulletproof vests, in armored vehicles. They are afraid for their lives. Therefore, up to four Pion heavy artillery systems were deployed to Kherson region, the Operational Command "South" informs.
