Apartment blocks and infrastructure damaged in Russia’s shelling of Lysychansk
The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Last night Russian occupation troops launched artillery strikes on the central part of Lysychansk. Apartment blocks and infrastructure were damaged. In addition, a humanitarian aid hub, where more than 40 civilians lived in a bomb shelter, was completely destroyed in fire. […] The data on casualties are yet to be updated,” the report states.
The police are working at the scene to document the effects of shelling. Criminal proceedings were opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
A reminder that Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai stated earlier that about 30 Russian projectiles hit a Lysychansk-based humanitarian aid hub last night.
