Russian forces shelled seven settlements in Donetsk region on June 5 - police

Russian troops shelled seven settlements in the Donetsk region on June 5, with civilian casualties recorded.

That's according to the communications department of the Donetsk regional police.

"Some 11 air-to-ground missile strikes were recorded, and Grad multiple rocket launchers, artillery and tanks were used. Some 26 civilian objects were destroyed. At the sites of the shelling, law enforcement officers gathered evidence of Russian war crimes," the statement reads.

Russian troops fired at Avdiivka, Sloviansk, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Chasiv Yar, New York, and Khromove.

At least ten private houses, a high-rise building, an ambulance, a factory, an agricultural enterprise and machinery, and critical infrastructure were damaged.

The regional police and the Security Service of Ukraine launched criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws or customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The police said that in the temporarily occupied settlements the Russian military is engaged in looting, seizing vehicles.

On June 4, Russian troops fired on 32 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, killing at least four people and wounding 13 others.
