Yermak calls on G7 ambassadors to assist in speeding up arms supplies to Ukraine

Ukrinform
Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has called on the ambassadors of the G7 countries to assist in speeding up the supply of the necessary weapons by the governments of their countries for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by the Office of the President of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Yermak, the supply of the necessary weapons will speed up Ukraine’s victory in this brutal, unprovoked war unleashed by Russia.

Yermak suggested intensifying work to raise awareness of partners about Ukraine’s defense needs, namely through regular briefings for military experts of interested countries and visits by journalists to the front line, etc.

The issue of Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction was also raised at the meeting. The G7 countries were invited to take part in the initiative launched by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which envisages taking patronage over individual cities or regions of Ukraine by partner countries with ensuring full control over the use of financial resources.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the ways to resume Ukraine’s grain exports, namely through the Black Sea ports.

The parties agreed on the importance of holding regular briefings for G7 ambassadors, in particular with the participation of senior government officials, in order to exchange views on topical issues of domestic and foreign policy agenda.
