Russian troops shell industrial facilities and residential neighborhoods in Luhansk region.

“The enemies continue making unsuccessful attempts to find weak spots in the defense of Sievierodonetsk, while firing on residential neighborhoods and industrial facilities in Luhansk region. On the evening of June 8, they twice hit the Azot association in Sievierodonetsk. At least two workshops at different ends of the chemical plant were damaged. One of them is an ammonia production workshop,” Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

At least four residents of the region were killed. One of them is a man from Sievierodonetsk who received fatal injuries on June 6. The enemy took the lives of three Lysychansk residents – a man and two women.

Over the past two days, six Lysychansk residents were injured to varying degrees. Four of them were immediately hospitalized at the regional clinical hospital in Dnipro.

As a result of the artillery shelling of Lysychansk, a woman was killed and her daughter was injured.

On June 8, the Russian army fired mortars, artillery, and MLRS on Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Pryvillia, Orikhove, Ustynivka, Hirske, Katerynivka, Bilohorivka, Mykolaivka, Komyshuvakha, and Pavlohrad outside Sievierodonetsk.

The occupiers launched an airstrike on Toshkivka and carried out an unsuccessful assault. In the direction of Katerynivka, Ukrainian soldiers inflicted losses on the enemy. The enemy retreated.

In addition, the Russians launched missile and air strikes on Verkhnokamyanka and Zolote.

In total, seven enemy attacks were repulsed in the past 24 hours; three enemy tanks, two armored personnel vehicles and four vehicles were destroyed. Ukraine’s air defense units shot down six Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles.
