Enemy drives Ukrainian units out of Sievierodonetsk center. Battle ongoing

The enemy, with the support of artillery, assaulted the town of Sievierodonetsk, had partial success, drove the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of the town center. The fighting continues.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00 on June 13, published on Facebook.

In Volyn, Polissya, and Siversky directions, the situation has not changed significantly. In the latter, the Russian occupiers fired artillery and mortars on the positions of the Defense Forces in the area of Khrinivka, Chernihiv region.

In Kharkiv direction, the enemy units continue to focus their main efforts on conducting positional defense and preventing the further advance of Ukrainian troops to the State Border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out assault operations in the direction of Ternove – Izbytske, had partial success, gained a foothold on its northern outskirts. The enemy remotely mined possible routes of the advance of the Ukrainian units in the area of Petrivka, 20km east of Stary Saltiv, conducted air reconnaissance in Shestakove area.

In Slovyansk direction, the enemy units focused their efforts on assaulting the localities of Dolyna and Bohorodychne, but were unsuccessful. The enemy replaced more than 100 units of damaged armored vehicles.

In Donetsk direction, the occupation forces focus on offensive operations to encircle the Ukrainian troops in the areas of Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk, and to block logistics routes from Bakhmut. The invaders moved more than 80 units of weapons and military equipment, including heavy armored vehicles and artillery systems, towards the localities of Kreminna and Starobilsk.

In Lyman direction, the enemy did not conduct active hostilities, continued shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of Mayaky, 10km north of Slovyansk, and Serebrianka, 5km northeast of Siversk.

In Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy, with the support of artillery, assaulted Sievierodonetsk, had partial success, drove the Ukrainian units out of the town center. The fighting continues. The invaders fired artillery on Ukraine’s Defense Forces' positions in the areas of Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, and Toshkivka.

In Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian soldiers successfully repulsed the assault operations in the directions of Viktorivka–Vrubivka and Komyshuvakha–Vrubivka. The enemy resumed offensive operations near the village of Zolote, and gains a foothold along the frontier of Roty–Myronivka. To improve the tactical position and capture the dominant heights, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the directions of Dolomitne–Kodema, Dolomitne–Novoluhanske. The invaders conducted air reconnaissance near Pokrovske.

In Kurakhove direction, the enemy launched an air strike on the Ukrainian positions in Krasnohorivka area, 15km east of Kurakhove.

In Avdiivka, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy fired along the line of contact in order to prevent the redeployment of reserves to other directions.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy wages positional defense. The main efforts are focused on holding the previously occupied territories. The invaders strengthened their positions in the area of Shylova Balka and Prydniprovske, conducted air reconnaissance in the area of Davydiv Brid.

The Russian aggressor blocks civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. Six Kalibr sea-launched cruise missile carriers are on alert in the Black Sea.
