Ukraine’s Armed Forces repulse enemy assault in Slovyansk direction

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on June 16, published on Facebook.

In Volyn and Polissya directions, certain units of the Belarusian armed forces continue to shield the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.

In Siversky direction, Russian troops fired artillery on Leonivka, Chernihiv region, and Ulanove, Sopych, Baranivka, Sumy region. In addition, a couple of Ka-52 helicopters launched an airstrike near Hlukhiv, Sumy region.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy fights to prevent Ukraine’s Defense Forces from further advancing towards the state border.

In Kharkiv direction, the invaders fired artillery and multiple rocket launchers in the area of Zolochiv, Udy, Bayrak, Peremoha, Rubizhne, Verkhniy Saltiv, Pechenihy, and Lebyazhe.

Artillery shelling was recorded in Slovyansk direction near Mazanivka, Krasnopillia, and Dibrovne.

In the direction of Dolyna locality, the Ukrainian defenders repulsed an enemy assault. According to the General Staff data, the enemy retreated.

In Donetsk direction, Russian troops do not stop firing on the Ukrainian positions along the line of contact, the main efforts are focused on Sievierodonetsk and Bakhmut directions.

No active offensive operations have been recorded in Lyman direction. Instead, the Russians fired artillery on the area of Starodubivka.

In Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy used artillery and MLRS in the areas of Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Ustynivka, Loskutivka, Metiolkine, and Borivske, and launched an airstrike on Loskutivka.

In Bakhmut direction, Russian invaders fired artillery on the areas of New York, Zaitseve, Pokrovske, Nova Kamyanka, Yakovlivka, Berestove, Mykolayivka, and Novoivanivka.

In particular, a couple of Ka-52 enemy helicopters struck Yakovlivka. In the direction of Berestove, the Ukrainian defenders once again successfully repulsed the enemy assault.

In Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the Russian troops tried to carry out assault operations to thwart the redeployment of Ukrainian troops to other directions.

Using mortars, artillery, and MLRS, the enemy fired on the areas of Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaypole, and Charivne.

The situation in the Southern Buh direction has not changed significantly. According to the General Staff data, Russian troops continue to focus on holding the occupied frontiers and reinforcing their positions.

The enemy used tube and rocket artillery in the areas of Osokorivka, Dobrianka, Topolyne, Kniazivka, Murakhivka, Chervona Dolyna, Zoria, Kotliareve, Novomykolayivka, Stepova Dolyna, Tavriyske, Lymany, and Oleksandrivka.
