Enemy intensifies shelling in Luhansk region: six killed in Lysychansk, Siverodonetsk
This was announced by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Haidai, in a Telegram post, seen by Ukrinform.
"The enemy was pushed away from Zolote, six were killed in Lysychansk and Siverodonetsk. The number of strikes by the Russian army is growing every day," Haidai wrote.
The official also said that the number of surviving households, infrastructure facilities, as well as the area free from invaders is decreasing. But the enemy only intensifies fire, killing civilians.
"A rocket strike on the House of Culture, where the residents of Lysychansk were sheltering, has already claimed three lives. Seven were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. Another airstrike destroyed a hospital, where people were also probably sheltering. A local resident was killed in another shelling out on the street. We also learned of the two victims in the old districts of Siverodonetsk - a mother and son," Haidai wrote.
In addition, a school and two households were destroyed in Lysychansk by Russian shelling, as well as 18 households in Hirske and seven in Vrubivka. Many buildings in the village of Synetske near Siverodonetsk were also damaged.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on June 16, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Haidai, stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had destroyed another pontoon crossing in Luhansk region.
