Ukraine’s Armed Forces repel assault in Novobakhmutivka area, battle of Sievierodonetsk ongoing

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, June 22, published on Facebook.

In Volyn and Polissya directions, the situation has not changed much.

In Siversky direction, the Russian troops used tube artillery to fire on the populated localities of Turya, Myropilske, and Slavhorod in Sumy region.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy tries to improve its tactical position in the area of Slovyansk by assault.

Russians used tube and rocket artillery in the area of the localities of Bohorodychne, Nova Dmytrivka, Novopavlivka, Kurulka, Dolyna, Pryshyb, Krasnopillia, Virnopillia, Ridne, Chervone, Shnurky, Chervona Poliana, Karnaukhivka, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Semylanne.

In Kharkiv direction, the Russian troops conduct military operations to restrain Ukraine’s Defense Forces and prevent them from reaching the state border.

The enemy launched artillery attacks in the area of the localities of Kharkiv, Bayrak, Peremoha, Korobochkyne, Shevelivka, Rubizhne, Lebyazhe, Mospanove, Shestakove, Petrivka, Ruska Lozova, Khrestyshche, Kulynychi, Udy, Staryi Saltiv, Verkhniy Saltiv, Pytomnyk, Rtyshchivka, Pechenihy.

In Donetsk direction, the invaders try to advance towards Bakhmut and establish control over Sievierodonetsk.

In Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the area of Verkhniokamyanka, Sievierodonetsk, Syrotyne.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the area of Berestove, Yakovlivka, Klynove, Vershyna, and missile and air strikes near Chasovyi Yar, Novoluhanske, Hirske.

In Kramatorsk direction, the Russian troops did not go on offensive, fired tube artillery on the Ukrainian positions near Pryshyb, Sydeorove, Donetske, Mayaky.

In Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy continues systematically open fire to prevent the Ukrainian troops from being redeployed to other directions.

The invaders launched airstrikes near Novobakhmutivka, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Pavlivka, Vuhledar, Shevchenko.

In the area of Novobakhmutivka, the Ukrainian troops repelled the assault and made the enemy retreat.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy reinforces its positions and opens fire from tune and rocket artillery to prevent the Ukrainian troops from advancing deep into the captured territory.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 34,230 Russian soldiers from February 24 to June 22.
