Ten civilians killed in Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv Region

Ten civilians have been killed and ten more injured in Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv Region over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, the enemy has been shelling the residential areas of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Region’s settlements. Unfortunately, some civilians were killed and injured,” Syniehubov wrote.

In particular, four civilians were injured in Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv’s Nemyshlianskyi District. Five women were killed in the village of Pryshyb, Izium District. One civilian was injured in the city of Balakliia.

In Zolochiv, the bodies of two more victims were recovered from under the rubble. In general, three civilians were killed in Russia’s shelling of Zolochiv.

In Chuhuiv, two civilians were killed and four injured. In the village of Tykhopillia, Lozova District, one civilian was injured.

According to Syniehubov, Russian troops are conducting active hostilities at the contact line. In the Kharkiv direction, Russian occupiers are attempting to hold back Ukrainian forces and prevent them from advancing towards the state border.

In the Izium direction, the enemy continues assault operations towards Sloviansk. But, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 11 enemy equipment units, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and Lynx vehicles.
