Russian armed aggression affects over 950 children in Ukraine
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of June 25, 2022, over 950 children in Ukraine were affected by the Russian armed aggression. According to the data from juvenile prosecutors, a total of 339 children were killed and over 611 injured,” the report states.
These data are not final, as they are being investigated within the areas of hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated areas.
Currently, most casualties were recorded in Donetsk Region (335), Kharkiv Region (179), Kyiv Region (116), Chernihiv Region (68), Luhansk Region (55), Kherson Region (52), Mykolaiv Region (48), Zaporizhzhia Region (31) and Sumy Region (17).
When recording criminal offences, the Ukrainian side received information about a 14-year-old boy killed together with his family in Russia’s air strike on Izium, Kharkiv Region, on March 9, 2022.
On April 6, 2022, a 16-year-old boy was injured in Russia’s artillery strike on Vilkhivka, Kharkiv Region.
A total of 2,061 educational institutions were damaged across Ukraine as a result of Russia’s daily air and artillery strikes, and 213 of them were destroyed completely.
A reminder that, on June 22, 2022, Russian invaders opened fire on the village of Pechenihy, Kharkiv Region. Reportedly, seven civilians were injured, including two children.
