Over 100 bodies of those killed by Russian bombardment found under rubble in Mariupol

Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Mariupol. New sad discoveries. While inspecting buildings in the Livoberezhny district, more than bodies of those killed by bombardment have been found in a house hit by an air bomb at the intersection of Peremohy Avenue and Meotydy Boulevard. The bodies are still under the rubble. The occupiers are not planning to retrieve and bury them," he wrote.

Russia's aggression caused one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes in Mariupol. More than 95% of all buildings in the city, including 1,356 high-rise buildings, were destroyed by Russian shelling.

Mariupol's mayor, Vadym Boichenko, said that about 22,000 civilians had been killed in the city since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Today, about 100,000 people remain in the temporarily occupied city.
