Russia’s missile attack on Mykolaiv and region: Houses destroyed, three missiles hit Bashtanka

Russian invaders have fired missiles at Mykolaiv and Bashtanka, destroying social infrastructure facilities and residential houses.

The relevant statement was made by Mykolaiv Regional Council Head Hanna Zamazieieva on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In the morning of July 5, 2022, two districts in the city of Mykolaiv came under enemy fire. Some buildings were destroyed, including residential houses. Rescuers and medics are working at the scene. The data on casualties are yet to be checked,” Zamazieieva wrote.

Six Russian missiles were fired at Bashtanka alone. Three of them were shot down by the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units. The enemy again struck the administrative building.

In addition, Russian troops opened fire on such communities as Shyroke, Inhulka, Bereznehuvate and Halytsynove. Destructions in detached houses were reported. According to the preliminary data, there were no casualties among civilians.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying infrastructure facilities and residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages.
