Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson for the disbursement of GBP 100 million in additional security assistance to Ukraine.
The head of state wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"Held talks with Boris Johnson. Thanked for the unwavering support of Ukraine - the recent decision to provide £1 billion in security aid and today's - £100 million," Zelensky said.
Both parties also discussed food security for the world and security guarantees for Ukraine. Zelensky thanked the UK for its willingness to host the Ukraine Recovery Conference in 2023.
It emerged in late June that the United Kingdom will almost double its military support to Ukraine with an extra GBP 1 billion (over $1.2 billion), to help the country move beyond defense against Russia's invasion to mounting offensive operations.
