Ukraine Army forces Russians to retreat from their positions in Bakhmut direction

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

As of 18:00 on July 7, no changes in the condition, composition and nature of actions of units of the Belarusian armed forces were recorded in the Volyn and Polissia directions. There is still a threat of missile and bomb attacks from Belarusian territory.

In the Sivershchyna direction, the enemy, in order to demonstrate their presence, shelled the areas of Vovkivka, Kindrativka, and Myropillia of the Sumy region with artillery. In addition, it carried out airstrikes near Esmani and Myropillia.

In the Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy continues to concentrate efforts on holding positions and preventing the advancement of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine deep into the temporarily occupied territory.

During the day, tanks, barrel and rocket artillery were used to shell settlements in the Kharkiv region along the contact line.

Ukrainian soldiers thwarted all the enemy's attempts to advance in the direction of Sosnivka. The assault was repulsed, and the occupiers retreated to their previously occupied positions.

In the east of the country, the enemy is still trying to establish complete control over the Luhansk region.

In the Sloviansk direction, the occupiers again unsuccessfully stormed Bohorodychne, trying to capture it completely. Ukrainian soldiers harshly suppressed this attempt.

The enemy used barrel and rocket artillery to shell the areas of the settlements of Sulyhivka, Chervone, Nikopol, Novopavlivka, Karnaukhivka, Adamivka, Krasnopillia, Bohorodychne, Mazanivka, Dibrivne and Dolyna. Attack and army aircraft were used for strikes near Dolyna.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to advance in the Hryhorivka and Verkhnokamianske directions.

The occupiers shelled the areas of Mayaky, Siversk, Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, Verkhnokamianske, Zolotarivka and Zvanivka with barrel and jet artillery. An enemy airstrike was recorded in the Serebrianka area.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers inflicted losses on the enemy when they tried to improve their tactical position near Vershyna and Berestove. The enemy "retreated in panic."

The areas of the settlements of Vyimka, Ivanodarivka, Spirne, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Pokrovske, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Klynove, Vershyna, Kodema, Maiorsk, and New York were shelled with barrel artillery and MLRS. The enemy used army aircraft near Shumy. It is digging in on the outskirts of the settlement of Spirne.

In the Avdiivka, Kurakhivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzia directions, shelling from barrel and rocket artillery continues along the contact line.

The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions with attack aircraft near Kamianske.
