SBU nabs two Russian assets scouting Ukraine Army positions in Donetsk region
That’s according to the SBU press center, Ukrinform reports.
One of the enemy assets was detained near Kramatorsk. He turned out to be a local resident recruited by a Russian FSB operative.
"According to the inquiry, the asset had been gathering intelligence on the location of Army units and infrastructure facilities across the region. He transmitted the coordinates to the aggressor through clandestine communication channels,” the report reads.
The occupiers used this information to prepare mass rocket artillery attacks on Kramatorsk," the agency said.
As the Office of the Prosecutor General reported in Telegram, a Kramatorsk resident was charged with unauthorized disclosure of data on the movement and location of the Army units, which allowed for their exposure, committed under martial law conditions.
The culprit has been taken into custody. The court is yet to rule on a preventive measure to be applied pending inquiry.
Another suspected traitor was detained in Bakhmut. "He spotted the enemy strikes at the city. To this end, he created a special platform in Telegram, where he published for the aggressor the location and data on the movement of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the SBU reported.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the SBU nabbed a Russian asset in Dnipropetrovsk region. It is believed the perpetrator had been spying on the location of air defense systems behind the southern and eastern fronts.
