War update: Ukraine Army inflicts losses on invasion troops, forcing them to retreat in several areas

That’s according to an evening war update by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, seen by Ukrinform.

The situation has undergone no significant changes in the Volyn and Polissya directions.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy continues to run aerial reconnaissance missions, spying on Ukraine’s facilities in the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Also, the enemy launched a mortar attack near Atynske, Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy continues to conduct combat operations in order to prevent the advance of Ukrainian troops towards the state border.

The enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops with barrel and jet artillery in the districts of Kharkiv and the settlements of Uda, Prudyanka, Slatyne, Borshchova, Ruski Tyshky, Pechenihy, Chuhuiv, and Lebyazhe. Airstrikes were reported near Prudyanka, Rubizhne, and Verkhniy Saltiv.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical position of their units in the direction of Izyum - Barvinkove. The Russian artillery shelled the areas of Chepil, Karnaukhivka, Virnopillya, Bohorodychne, Dibrovne, Dolyna, Krasnopillya, and Adamivka. Airstrikes were recorded near Prudyanka and Bohorodychne.

Ukrainian soldiers inflicted losses on the enemy and pushed the invaders back in the areas where they tried to advance toward Brazhivka and Dmytrivka.

In the Donetsk region, the enemy continues offensive attempts toward Bakhmut and Siversk.

The enemy shelled the areas of Tetyanivka, Donetske, Dronivka, Hryhorivka, Starodubivka, Siversk and Mykolaivka with tanks, barrel and jet artillery, as well as carried out an airstrike near Verkhniokamyanske. Enemy UAVs were also active in the area.

With offensive actions, the enemy tried to improve their tactical position in the directions of Bilohorivka - Hryhorivka, Zolotarivka - Verkhniokamianske, Zolotarivka – Serebryanka, and Lysychansk Refinery - Verkhniokamianske. The Russians did not succeed in their effort. Firefights continue.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy fired at Ukrainian positions near Vyimka, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Pokrovsk, Veselaya Dolyna, Kurdyumivka, Travneve, and Shumy, as well as carried out airstrikes in the areas of Berestove and Pokrovske.

Ukraine’s defenders repelled an enemy assault in the direction of Myronivka - Vuhlehirska TPP.

In the Avdiyivka direction, the enemy intensified hostilities, trying to improve their tactical position in the direction of Verkhniotoretske - Kamyanka, with no success, having suffered losses and ultimately retreated.

The enemy ran no active offensive missions in the Kurakhiv and Zaporizhia directions, resorting to barrel and jet artillery shelling in the areas of Tonenke, Nevelske, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Prechistivka, Pavlivka, Novopil, Hulyaipole, Yurkivka, Orihiv and Mali Shcherbaky. Airstrikes were reported near Novodanylivka and Novoandriivka.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy is focusing its efforts on holding the occupied lines and preventing the offensive of Ukraine’s forces, while Russian UAVs are actively reconnoitering the area.

Artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of Kavkaz, Bila Krynytsia, Murakhivka, Kobzartsi, Olenivka, Shevchenkove, Stepova Dolyna, Ukrainka, Blahodatne, Nova Zoria, and Tavriyske. Airstrikes were reported near Potyomkine and Bila Krynytsia.

The occupiers are keeping two high-precision missile carriers in full readiness for launch, threatening the entire territory of Ukraine.

The Russian military is demoralized, which is due to the constant postponement of their rotation dates. The invaders fear active resistance of the local population, which is gaining momentum in particular in Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. All this leads to more cases where soldiers refuse to engage in active combat missions on the territory of Ukraine.
