Russia keeps three cruise missile carriers combat-ready in Black Sea
This was reported by the press service of Ukraine Army’s General Staff on Telegram, as seen by Ukrinform.
"As of July 19, 2022, there are three enemy Kalibr operational-tactical missile carriers on combat duty in the Black Sea, five enemy Kalibr surface-to-air missile carriers and two missile cruisers in the Mediterranean Sea, while six enemy warships and cutters continue to monitor maritime communications in the Sea of Azov," the report says.
It is noted that the enemy continues to focus its efforts on protecting and defending the temporarily occupied Crimea from the sea and conducting combat training in the area of the Kerch Strait on defending the Kerch Bridge.
The General Staff emphasizes that the Russian Federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea of 1974 (SOLAS) by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the Black Sea-Azov waters.
On February 24, Russia began a new stage of its eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. The enemy has been massively shelling and bombing peaceful Ukrainian cities and villages.
