Enemy opens fire on two communities in Mykolaiv Region

On the night of July 20, 2022, Russian troops opened fire on two communities situated in Bashtanka District, Mykolaiv Region.

The relevant statement was made by Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The Bereznehuvate community and adjacent settlements are remaining under enemy fire. At about 02:00-02:30 a.m., the urban-type village of Bereznehuvate was shelled. The missile strike caused damage to eight residential houses. Two civilians were rescued from under the rubble. Around the same time, infrastructure facilities and residential houses came under enemy fire in such settlements as Kaluha and Vysunsk. Information about casualties is yet to be checked,” the report states.

Between 02:20 a.m. and 03:00 a.m., Russian troops repeatedly opened fire on the Bashtanka community. Reportedly, explosions were heard near several settlements. A fire broke out in the field. Information about the damage caused and casualties is yet to be checked.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russia started a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages.
