Enemy troops assault Ukrainian positions, use aviation in Donetsk Region – General Staff

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remained unchanged. In order to restrict Ukraine’s Defense Forces, Belarus extended the deadline for conducting measures to check the combat readiness of its armed forces until August 6, 2022.

In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops continue to keep the separate units in the border areas of Bryansk Region and Kursk Region, and conduct air reconnaissance with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The enemy used cannon artillery to open fire on infrastructure facilities in Chernihiv Region’s Zaliznyi Mist and Sumy Region’s Zhuravka.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian troops are conducting hostilities along the state border of Ukraine, consistently opening fire on Ukrainian positions all over the contact line in order to maintain the captured frontiers and prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian invaders used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near such settlements as Kharkiv, Slatyne, Pytomnyk, Cherkaski Tyshky, Fedorivka, Petrivka, Rubizhne, Mospanove, Peremoha, Asiivka, Husarivka and Chepil.

The enemy conducted air reconnaissance with UAVs near Prudianka, Duvanka and Shapovalivka. Russian troops launched an air strike near Staryi Saltiv.

In the direction of Nova Husarivka-Husarivka, an enemy reconnaissance group attempted to clarify Ukrainian positions but failed and retreated.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian troops launched artillery strikes near Andriivka, Dolyna, Krasnopillia, Mazanivka and Adamivka. The enemy conducted assault operations near Dmytrivka but had no success and retreated.

Near Dolyna, Russian invaders attempted to use a sabotage and reconnaissance group but suffered losses and retreated.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian occupiers are trying to improve their tactical position in the direction of Bakhmut and Avdiivka. The enemy is conducting assault operations with the support of attack and combat aviation, and making attempts to reveal the defense system of Ukrainian units.

In the Siversk direction, Russian troops launched artillery strikes near Sloviansk, Siversk, Vyimka, Spirne and Serebrianka. The enemy launched air strikes near Spirne and Hryhorivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers used artillery to open fire near such settlements as Perevizne, Fedorivka, Yakovlivka, Pokrovske, Vesela Dolyna, Semyhiria, Kostiantynivka and Zalizne. The enemy launched air strikes near Pokrovske and Bakhmut.

With assault operations, Russian occupiers attempted to improve their tactical position in the direction of Roty-Vershyna and Pokrovske-Bakhmut but suffered losses and retreated.

The enemy’s attempt to conduct final reconnaissance in the direction of Striapivka-Soledar was unsuccessful. The enemy reconnaissance group was revealed and eliminated.

Russian UAVs were detected when conducting air reconnaissance near Pavlohrad, Kramatorsk and Ozerne.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops opened fire near Novokalynove, Tonenke, Opytne, Vodiane, Pisky and Nevelske. The enemy launched air strikes near Avdiivka and Novoselivka. Russian invaders conducted assault operations in the direction of Vodiane-Piske and Lozivskyi-Pisky but had no success and retreated. The enemy used UAVs to conduct air reconnaissance near Pokrovsk and Avdiivka.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian occupiers opened fire near such settlements as Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka, Shevchenko, Zolota Nyva, Vremivka and Novopil. The enemy launched air strikes near Stepove and Mali Shcherbaky.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops did not take active actions. The enemy opened fire near Charivne, Orikhiv and Kamianske, and conducted air reconnaissance with UAVs near Orikhiv and Novoiakovlivla.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian occupiers are focusing efforts to maintain the captured frontiers and prevent Ukraine’s Defense Forces from advancing in the Kryvyi Rih direction. The enemy continues to inflict fire and launch air strikes in order to restrict Ukrainian units, and take measures to replenish stocks and enhance troops.

Russian troops used cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near Osokorivka, Ivanivka, Tokarieve, Novovorontsovka, Bila Krynytsia, Andriivka, Veselyi Kut, Partyzanske, Shevchenkove, Blahodatne,  Ukrainka, Prybuzke and Dniprovske, and conducted air reconnaissance.

Two enemy cruise missile ships are ready to use precision-guided munitions from the sea.
