Ukraine forces rebuff Russian attempts to advance in several areas
That’s according to the press service of the Ukrainian Army’s General Staff, Ukrinform reports.
"In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no significant changes were spotted in the composition, condition, and position of the Belarus army units in Brest and Gomel regions. According to available intelligence, Belarus continues to supply certain types of ammunition to the Russian forces. The threat of missile strikes from the Belarusian territory remains in place," the statement reads.
The General Staff also reported that in the Siversky direction, the enemy has not stopped shelling positions of Ukrainian troops from the Russian territory and conducting aerial reconnaissance in the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to engage in hostilities to hold gained ground and prevent Ukraine’s forces from creating favorable conditions for resuming their offensive. Measures are being taken by the Russians to replenish personnel and equipment losses.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Dementiivka, Protopopivka, Husarivka, Chepil, Pytomnyk, Cherkasky Tyshki, Petrivka, Rtyshchyvka, Staryy Saltiv, Skrypai, Sosnivka, Tsirkuny and Svitlichne – using tanks, barrel and het artillery. An airstrike was recorded near Verkhniy Saltiv.
The invaders were forced to retreat after a failed attempt to improve their tactical position in the direction of Ternova - Bayrak.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy fired barrel and jet artillery in the areas of Kurulka, Hrushuvakha, Dibrivne, Adamivka, Dolyna, Krasnopillya, Mazanivka, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Vasylivka Persha, and Khrestishche. An airstrike was reported near Dibrivne.
Reconnaissance groups were active near Dovhenke and Dolyna before eventually retreating from the area.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy is focusing its efforts on running an offensive in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions. By systematically inflicting fire damage, the enemy tries to restrain the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and prevent them from deploying in directions threatening Russian defenses.
In the Kramatorsk direction, shelling was recorded near Siversk, Serebryanka, Verkhnokamyansk, Zvanivka, and Donetske. The enemy launched an airstrike near Serebryanka and conducted aerial reconnaissance using drones near Kryva Luka.
The enemy tried to advance in the direction of Novoluhanske - Ivano-Daryivka. They saw a resolute repulse on the part of Ukrainian soldiers, who forced them to retreat.
In addition, in the Bakhmut direction, artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Zaytseve, Pokrovske, Vesele, Kurdyumivka, and Zalizne. The enemy increased the intensity of aviation strikes in the said direction, engaging areas near Yakovlivka, Pokrovske, Soledar, Bakhmut, and Kodem.
All attempts by the enemy forces to advance in the directions of Rota – Vershyna, Volodymyrivka – Yakovlivka, Klynove – Zaitseve, and Pokrovske – Bakhmut were successfully repulsed. The invaders retreated, having suffered losses.
A number of enemy units have partial success in the direction of Vidrodzhennia - Kodema. In the Avdiyivka direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Avdiyivka, Netaylove, and New York. Airstrikes were reported near Avdiyivka and Novobakhmutivka. The invaders carried out assaults in the direction of Mineralne - Avdiyivka, with no gains made. At the same time, the enemy has partial success in the Donetsk-Pisky direction.
On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhia directions, shelling was recorded near Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka, Zaliznychne, Kamianske, Poltavka, Chervone, Novoandriivka, and Maryinka. The enemy also carried out an airstrike near the latter and conducted aerial reconnaissance near Olhivske.
In the South Buh direction, the enemy is focusing its efforts on holding the occupied lines and preventing the offensive of the Ukrainian units, also trying to regain positions lost earlier.
The areas of Mykolaiv, Trudolyubivka, Osokorivka, Ivanivka, Olenivka, Zorya, Blagodatne, Prishyb, Tokareve, Novovorontsovka, Bila Krynytsia, Andriivka, Vesely Kut, and Yavkine were shelled using tanks, barrel artillery, and multiple rocket launchers. An airstrike on Zoria was recorded. Aerial reconnaissance efforts were made to verify the results of fire damage and identify the Ukrainian Army positions.
According to the press service, two sea-based cruise missile carriers are fully ready to launch high-precision weapons.
The enemy continues to suffer losses in manpower and equipment. Among the Russian invaders, cases of alcohol abuse are becoming more widespread, which lead to disobedience incidents and inter-ethnic conflicts.
