After powerful explosions, fire broke out in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

“After powerful explosions around nine in the evening, a fire broke out in one of the city's districts. There are also power blackouts," the mayor wrote.

He called on the citizens to follow all safety regulations as much as possible.

As reported by Ukrinform, the occupiers launched a missile attack from the Caspian Sea region at about 17:00 on August 2. The enemy used Tu-95 or Tu-160 strategic bombers. Overall, eight X-101 (X-555) type cruise missiles were launched at the territory of Ukraine, aiming towards the central, southern, and western regions. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed seven out of eight cruise missiles.
