War update: Enemy focusing efforts in Bakhmut direction

This was announced on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Volyn and Polissia directions, comms training was held by the Belarus army’s General Staff. The occupiers continue to use the territory of the Republic of Belarus to deploy subversive and intelligence groups in the territory of Ukraine," the statement reads.

In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops, using barrel artillery and conducted aerial reconnaissance in the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Russian e-warfare systems were active in the area.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy is running combat operations with the aim of holding the occupied ground and preventing the offensive of Ukraine’s forces.

In the Kharkiv direction, the areas of Kharkiv, Prudyanka, Pytomnyk, Ruski Tyshki, Nova Mykolaivka, Rubizhne, Pishchane, Borshcheva, Zamulivka, Lebyazhe, Korobochkine, Bazaliivka, and Basove were shelled.

The occupiers made an attempt to advance in the direction of Kochubeivka – Dementiivka before being repulsed and having to retreat.

In the Sloviansk direction, barrel and jet artillery shelling was recorded near Nova Dmytrivka, Bohorodychne, Chepil, Karnaukhivka, Dovhenke, Barvinkove, Shnurky, Husarivka, and Dmytrivka.

The enemy scout group tried to conduct reconnaissance south of Mazanivka. The occupiers were detected and neutralized.

In Donetsk region, the enemy is focusing its main efforts in the Bakhmut direction.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy fired barrel and jet artillery, as well as tanks, near Siversk, Serebryanka, and Hryhorivka. Their UAVs also flew aerial reconnaissance missions near Nikiforivka and Tetyanivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, with the aim of pushing Ukrainian units away from the Russian-occupied lines, artillery was fired in the areas of Kodem, Semihirya, Travneve, Vyimka, Berestov, Bakhmutske and Opytne settlements. Airstrikes were reported near Semihirya and Bilohorivka.

The enemy launched an offensive on the western outskirts of Berestovo, wth no success. The situation is the same in the Volodymyrivka – Yakovlivka and Semihirya – Kodema directions.

Firefights continue in the Volodymyrivka - Soledar and Pokrovske - Bakhmut directions.

In the direction of Vidrodzhennya - Kodema and Dolomytne - Semihirya, Ukrainian soldiers inflicted powerful fire damage on the enemy, forcing the occupiers to withdraw.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy shelled the Avdiivka area and tried to improve their tactical position, unsuccessfully, retreating with losses.

On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhia directions, shelling was recorded near Kostyantynivka, Novosilka, Velika Novosilka, Charivny, Mala Tokmachka, Novopol, Yurkivka, and Huliaipole.

Due to the low level of staffing of the reserve tank regiment, the equipment of the military unit, which was moved in the Zaporizhia direction late May, was handed over to replenish the tank battalions that are part of the 58th combined army of the Russian Southern Military District.

The enemy is also deploying e-warfare systems in the area.

In the South Buh region, the enemy is shelling Ukrainian positions with tanks, barrel and jet artillery in the areas of the settlements of Potemkine, Topoline, Knyazuzka, Velyka Kostromka, Apostolove, Stepova Dolyna, Posad Pokrovske, Novogrigorivka, Luparevo, Lymany, Kobzartsi, Shiroke, Kvitneve and Biloghirka. Strike aviation was employed to attack the Plotnytsky tract.

The Russians conduct aerial reconnaissance to locate the position of Ukrainian troops, spot fire, and ensure concealed maneuvers of its own units.

The enemy continues to take measures to ensure protection of bridge crossings across the Dnipro River.

In the Black Sea waters, two Kalibr sea-based cruise missile carriers have been deployed and ready to launch high-precision weapons.

The enemy's aviation group conducts systematic combat operations in order to support the actions of ground troops. Efforts are focused on hitting military facilities in the Donetsk direction. Due to bad weather conditions, the intensity of sorties has been reduced.

Ukraine’s missile and artillery units continue to engage enemy strongholds, manpower clusters, logistical support bases.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Russian invaders started creating a strike grouping in the Kryvyi Righ direction, likely preparing a counteroffensive with plans to advance to the administrative border of Kherson region.
