Russian forces fire on border areas of Sumy, Chernihiv regions

Russian troops continue shelling the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
According to Ukrinform, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said in a Telegram post.
“Two communities in Sumy region and one community in Chernihiv region came under enemy fire," the report reads.
The invaders opened fire fired from self-propelled artillery and mortars. More than 110 explosions from barrel artillery were recorded, more than 50 120-mm mortar bombs were fired.
The enemy opened fire from the Russian settlements of Lomakivka, Kurkovichi, and Volfino.
"As a result of the shelling, a local resident was injured and civilian infrastructure was damaged. One more resident, hiding from shelling, died of a heart attack," the State Border Guard Service said.
