Ukraine Army hits enemy strongholds, destroys two ammo depots in country’s south
That’s according to Operational Command South, Ukrinform reports.
"The situation in the operational zone of the South Buh direction remains difficult, albeit controlled. The enemy is continuing to wage hostilities along the occupied lines, giving preference to remote forms of countermeasures – missile and artillery fire, as well as airstrikes. A desperate assault attempt by the forces of two amphibious assault detachments toward Lozove saw no success," the report says.
The enemy launched five airstrikes at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the line of contact. Ukrainian troops sustained no casualties, reports the Command.
The Russians shelled Koshove and Novohryhorivske along the administrative border of Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions, employing 152-mm barrel artillery. In both cases, the shells hit farmland plots. No casualties or destruction was recorded.
Ukrainian Army aviation carried out two strikes on enemy strongholds in the Bashtanka district, while missile and artillery units eliminated 15 invaders, also destroying a T-72 main battle tank and four other armored combat vehicles and trucks. Two ammunition depots were destroyed in Muzykivka and Nova Kakhovka.
"In the Black Sea, the composition and positions of the enemy naval group has not changed. Two surface carriers continue to threaten the entire territory of Ukraine with 16 high-precision Kalibr missiles. Also, a large landing craft remains on combat duty," added OC South.
As reported, on August 12, Ukrainian defenders hit the road bridge near the Nova Kakhovka dam, hindering its further use by the invasion forces.
