Russian forces shell town in Kharkiv region, injuring woman
The communications department of the main directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"The police have opened a criminal investigation into the shelling of the town of Zolochiv, Kharkiv region. The premises of the technical workshop of a lyceum and the premises of a canteen were partially damaged. A woman born in 1938 sustained a shrapnel wound," the report said.
The law enforcement officers specified that the town came under shelling at around 11:00 on August 14.
The Zolochiv community, bordering Russia and the Derhachi district, where fighting continues, is constantly under enemy fire. Educational institutions, agricultural enterprises, various infrastructure facilities, and hundreds of private houses were damaged in the community.
In total, more than 50 residents have already died in the Zolochiv community since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in late February.
