Police show aftermath of Russia’s late night shelling of Bakhmut
The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“[Russian] occupiers opened fire on the city around 11:00 p.m. Explosions lasted several hours. As a result, 24 residential houses were destroyed,” the report states.
Law enforcement officers documented the evidence of the war crime committed by Russian troops in accordance with Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
The police are calling on Donetsk Region’s residents to leave for safer areas. Free mandatory evacuation services for civilians are underway. Government authorities provide those evacuated with free accommodation, food products, medical and psychological aid, etc.
