Kremlin spinning fake news of “ammo depot” allegedly set up in Ukraine clinic - watchdog

Kremlin propaganda outlets are spreading misinformation claiming Ukraine “nationalists” turned one of the medical centers in Novi Sanzhary, Poltava region, into an ammunition depot, having expelled all staff and patients.

That’s according to the latest review of Russian fake news, released by the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Ukrinform reports.

The Russian defense ministry claims the clinic has become a base for the Azov Regiment fighters, as well as an ammunition depot, the watchdog reports.

Another disinformation piece has been voiced by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, who falsely claimed that "in Ukraine, the Russian servicemen are opposed by the combined forces of the West, who control this country’s leadership in a hybrid war waged against the Russian Federation."

Also, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that "the NATO bloc is moving eastwards, boosting its military infrastructure so they need conflicts to maintain their hegemony."

According to another false narrative spread by Putin, "therefore, implementing the ‘anti-Russia’ project, they prepared the fate of ‘cannon fodder’ for the people of Ukraine and turned a blind eye to the spread of neo-Nazi ideology, as well as mass murders of Donbas residents."

As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to the CCD, Russian propaganda through its foreign mouthpieces and media claimed “futility” of U.S. support for Ukraine.
