Grain corridor: 24 ships with 600,000 tonnes of grain already leave Ukrainian ports
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post.
"In general, as part of the implementation of the Initiative on the Safe Transportation of Grain and Foodstuffs, 24 ships have already departed from Ukrainian ports. They have more than 600,000 tonnes of agricultural products on board," the report said.
The ministry said that this morning, the Petrel S ship left Chornomorsk and the ships Sara and Efe departed from the Odesa port. They are carrying more than 33,000 tonnes of agricultural products.
It also recalled that the largest caravan of five ships, carrying almost 110,000 tonnes of grain, left unblocked Ukrainian ports on August 16.
On July 22, in Istanbul, Ukraine and Russia signed separate documents with the UN and Turkey on the creation of a corridor for the export of grain from three Ukrainian ports - Chornomorsk, Odesa and Pivdenny.
