In Mykolaiv direction, enemy conducting offensive battle, gaining partial success

In the Mykolaiv direction, Russian forces are conducting an offensive battle, with partial success, in the direction of Vasylky-Blahodatne, having occupied the southern outskirts of Blahodatne, hostilities continue.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in an operational update as of 06:00, August 21, on its Facebook page.

In the Volyn and Polissia direction, the movement of air defense equipment of the armed forces of the Russian Federation to the territory of the Republic of Belarus was recorded. The threat of the enemy launching missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of this country remains.

In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy launched mortar attacks on the settlements of Pushkari in Chernihiv region and Myropillia and Pavlivka in Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Prudianka, Ruski Tyshky, Shestakove, Pishchiane and Pechenihy with barrel and jet artillery. Airstrikes near Mospanove, Staryi Saltiv, and Husarivka were recorded. The enemy conducted air reconnaissance with UAVs near Velyki Prokhody.

In the Sloviansk direction, artillery shelling was recorded near Shevelivka, Krasnopillia, Dibrivne, Nortsivka, Sulyhivka, and Dolyna.

The enemy attempted combat reconnaissance in the direction of Pasika-Bohorodychne, had no success and retreated. It attempted to conduct assault operations in the directions Brazhkivka–Nova Dmytrivka and Sulyhivka–Nova Dmytrivka but suffered losses and retreated.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy is trying to continue offensive operations. In the Kramatorsk direction, it used barrel and rocket artillery near Siversk, Hryhorivka, Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Daryivka.

Russian troops attempted to conduct an offensive in the direction of Berestove-Ivano-Daryivka but had no success.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian forces using tanks, barrel artillery and MLRS in the areas of Soledar, Yakovlivka, Zaitseve, Shumy and Zalizne settlements. Airstrikes near Zaitseve, Bakhmut and Soledar were recorded.

The enemy attempted to conduct offensive operations in the directions of Pokrovske-Bakhmutske and Semihirya-Zaitseve, had no success and retreated. Battles continue in the direction of Zalizna Balka-New York and Novoselivka-New York.

In the Avdiivka direction, shelling was recorded in Maryinka, Vodiane, Oleksandropil and Pisky districts. Airstrikes near Avdiivka, Novobakhmutivka, Maryinka, Vodiane and Krasnohorivka were recorded. The enemy also conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs in the areas of Pokrovsk, Krasnohorivka, Vesele and Opytne settlements. Enemy units are conducting assault operations in the directions Pisky – Nevelske, Lozove – Nevelske and Staromykhailivka – Maryinka, combat operations are ongoing. In the direction of Novopavlovsk, the enemy fired artillery near Shevchenko, Velika Novosilka, Prechistivka, and Vremivka. Used aviation near Novomykhailivka and Pavlivka.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy used barrel, rocket artillery and tanks to shell the areas of Neskuchne, Zaliznychne, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Poltavka, Novosilka, Dorozhnianka, Orikhiv, Mali Shcherbaky, Chervone and Novodanylivka settlements. Airstrikes in the areas of Huliaipole, Olhivske and Chervone. Russian troops also conducted air reconnaissance with an Orlan-10 UAV in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy used tanks, barrel and rocket artillery to shell the areas of Stepova Dolyna, Lymany and 15 more settlements. Airstrikes near Olhyne, Zarichne, Novohryhorivka, Bila Krynytsia, Tavriyske, Lozove, and Andriivka were recorded. Russian troops also conducted air reconnaissance with UAVs.
