Ukraine forces see no prospects of enemy’s rapid advance toward Mykolaiv
That’s according to Vitaliy Kim, Head of the Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.
"Regarding the possible offensive on Mykolaiv. These, like at the beginning of the war, are inflated allegations aimed to scare our people. Currently, our military sees no prospect of a quick advance in the direction of our city," said Kim.
Also, according to the top regional official, during the celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine on August 23-24, Mykolaiv will not be closed down and no extended curfew will be introduced. At the same time, no mass events are scheduled for this holiday across the city. An order is also being prepared, recommending that everyone work remotely throughout these days.
As reported, the chief commandant of the Bashtanka district, Mykolaiv region, ruled to maintain an extended curfew on the said territory from 19:00 on August 23 to 07:00 on August 25, 2022.
