Lithuania plans to join military training of Ukrainian troops in UK in September
"In April-May, we offered Ukraine two dozen courses that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could use to train specialists. Currently, five of them have already been activated, and Ukrainian military personnel are undergoing training with us. Until October inclusive, we will train about 150 specialists of various military professions. At the same time, some military specialties have a very narrow profile," Minister of Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anušauskas told Ukrinform in an interview.
Moreover, the minister noted, Lithuania plans to join the project of the United Kingdom which hosts the training of the Ukrainian military by an international group of specialists.
"Up to 15 Lithuanian instructors will also work there," the defense minister of Lithuania added.
As reported, at the beginning of July, the first group of Ukrainian military personnel arrived in the United Kingdom to take part in a new major training program. The course includes programs on weapons handling, battlefield first aid, field survival, patrol tactics, and the legal foundations of armed conflict.
