Border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions struck more than 150 times in past day

"Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Khotin, Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhine, Znob-Novhorodske communities of Sumy region and Novhorod-Siverskyi community of Chernihiv region came under enemy fire. In the afternoon, the enemy fired 120mm mortar on the territory of Khotin community twice, more than three dozen explosions rang out," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs.

According to the Ministry data, the enemy fired from the Russian localities of Nikolayevo-Daryino and Uspenovka.

"Almost simultaneously, the occupiers hit the territory of Myropillia community with 122mm tube artillery, more than a dozen shell explosions rang out. The enemy fired from the Russian locality of Guyevo. Later, the enemy struck Krasnopillia community with 120mm mortar from the Russian locality of Grafovka, about three dozen explosions were heard," the report reads.

From the locality of Tyotkino, the Russians shelled the territory of Bilopillia community with 82mm and 120mm mortars thrice over the past day. Almost nine dozen shells were fired.

"As a result of the enemy strike on one of the settlements of the community, civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged: a school, a kindergarten, a college dormitory, a post office, a shop, and other buildings, including private houses," the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed.

Nova Sloboda community came under enemy tube artillery and MLRS fire – 3 and 36 explosions were recorded, respectively.

"Shalyhine and Znob-Novhorodske communities came under mortar fire, 25 and 5 explosions were recorded, respectively. The enemy shelled the territory of Novhorod-Siverskyi community with tube artillery and mortars, 20 and 23 explosions were recorded, respectively," the report reads.
