Ukraine’s military not to report number of enemy forces in Kherson region - statement
That’s according to Natalia Humeniuk, a spokesperson for Operational Command South, who spoke at the national telethon, answering a question on the number of forces Russia has amassed in the southern direction, Ukrinform reports.
"It would be inappropriate to reveal such data. We assess the enemy's forces adequately, we realize how many of them there are. These are not such critical numbers that could throw us out of balance," Humeniuk emphasized.
Answering the question of whether the occupiers' attempts to flee Kherson toward Crimea are being observed, the spokeswoman said: "Yes, there is such a movement, and it was for a certain reason that they recently blocked that Kerch Strait Bridge, as they tried to use it in reverse mode: both by pulling up reserves and taking away what’s most valuable to them – the loot and their families."
As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian command provides no details about the progress of combat operations in Kherson region, as long as they continue, against the background of reports of a Ukrainian counteroffensive.
