Ukraine's defense minister meets with U.S. ambassador
That's according to the press service of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, Ukrinform reports.
"During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the positions of the parties ahead of another meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format, which will be held on September 8 in Germany," the report said.
The event was also attended by Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense Oleksandr Polishchuk, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk, and U.S. Defense Attaché in Ukraine, Brigadier General Garrick Harmon.
The Ukraine Defense Contact Group was created in April at the initiative of the United States. The first meeting took place in Ramstein, Germany, in later April, and this format got the name "Ramstein."
The Ukraine Defense Contact Group last met in July.
