Armed Forces of Ukraine repel enemy offensive attempts in Donetsk region

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, September 6, published on Facebook.

The enemy continues to focus its efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk region, holding the temporarily captured districts of Kherson region, part of Kharkiv region, Zaporizhzhia region, and Mykolaiv region.

There is still a threat of massive air and missile strikes on military and civilian infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine.

In the Black Sea, the Russian Kalibr sea-launched cruise missile carriers are on alert.

In general, over the past day, the enemy launched three missile strikes and more than 35 airstrikes, 50 MLRS attacks. The Russian occupiers began the night of September 5-6 with insidious rocket attacks on civilian objects in the towns of Bakhmut and Kostiantynivka.

The enemy launched airstrikes on the areas of Bayrak and Asiyivka localities of Kharkiv region; Pryshyb, Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka, Novomykhailivka, Novopil of Donetsk region, Poltavka and Olhivske of Zaporizhzhia region, Bila Krynytsia, Bilohirka and Kostromka of Kherson region; and Velyke Artakove, Ternivka, and Liubomyrivka of Mykolaiv region.

The situation in Volyn and Polissya directions has not changed significantly.

In other directions, the enemy continued shelling military and civilian infrastructure, using available fire weapons, namely:

In Siversky direction, the areas of Khrinivka, Chernihiv region, and Nova Huta, Sopych, and Myropillia of Sumy region were struck.

In Kharkiv direction – Udy, Sosnivka, Svitlychne, Zolochiv, Prudianka, Velyki Prokhody, Nove, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Petrivka, Kostiantynivka, Pryshyb, Husarivka and Chepil;

In Slovyansk direction – Virnopillia, Brazhkivka, Ridne, Dolyna, Krasnopillia, Dmytrivka, Bohorodychne, Donetske, and Slovyansk;

In Kramatorsk direction – Kryva Luka, Siversk, Verkhnokamyanske, Ivano-Daryivka, and Spirne;

In Bakhmut direction – Rozdolivka, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Hryhorivka, Vesela Dolyna, Odradivka, Zaitseve, New York, Yuryivka, Opytne, Vesele, and Mayorsk;

In Avdiivka direction – Avdiivka, Opytne, Pervomaiske, and Marinka;

In Novopavlivka direction – Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka, Neskuchne, Shakhtarske, Novomykhailivka, Zolota Nyva, Prechystivka, Vuhledar, Pavlivka, Kostiantynivka;

In Zaporizhzhia direction – Zelene Pole, Vremivka, Olhivske, Poltavka, Zaliznychne, Chervone, Huliaypilske, Dorozhnianka, Novodanylivka and Bilohirya;

In Southern Buh direction – Mykolaiv, Novohryhorivka, Yakovlivka, Partyzanske, Kvitneve, Kyselivka, Shevchenkove, Ternovi Pody, Pravdyne, Liubomyrivka, Stepova Dolyna, Tavriyske, Myrne, Stepove, Novooleksandrivka, Pervomaiske, Kobzartsi, Petrivka, Zarichne, Ivanivka, Tokareve, Olhyne, and Shyroke.

The enemy continues to commit illegal actions and places personnel and military equipment in kindergartens (Verkhniy Rohachyk), temples of the Moscow Patriarchate (Chervony Mayak) in Kherson region, and also uses the Holy Trinity Church in Mala Komyshuvakha, Kharkiv region, as a field hospital.

The defense forces continue to conduct a defensive operation, hold designated frontiers, and prevent the enemy from advancing deep into the territory of Ukraine.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues to repel missile and air strikes of the enemy, and effectively covers critical objects in the territory of Ukraine. The air defense forces shot down a guided cruise missile over Mykolaiv region.

Over the past day, to support the actions of the ground groups, the Air Force launched more than 30 strikes aimed at destroying the manpower, combat and special equipment, as well as other military objects of the enemy.

Missile and artillery units continue to carry out counter-battery combat tasks, disrupt enemy control system, logistical support, destroy air defense systems, fire weapons, and manpower.

As a result of the coordinated work of aviation and artillery, several platoon strongholds, about five positions of anti-aircraft missile systems, and an enemy artillery battery were hit. The losses of the enemy are specified.
