Ukrainian war pilots engage 40 Russian strongholds, equipment clusters on Sep 6
That’s according to a morning update by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, seen by Ukrinform.
“The enemy continues to focus its efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk region, maintaining control of the temporarily captured districts of Kherson region and parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Mykolaiv regions. Its UAVs fly aerial reconnaissance missions with high intensity. The enemy continues to take measures to improve supplies to its troops. A threat of air and missile strikes at the entire territory of Ukraine remains in place,” the report reads.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has launched more than seven missile and 25 air strikes on military and civilian objects across Ukraine. To this end, the Russians made up to 20 sotries. In particular, infrastructure sites was affected in the areas of Kharkiv, Velyki Prohody, Bilohirka, Kostromka, Sukhyi Stavok, and Bezimenne.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissya directions has seen no significant changes.
In other directions, the enemy fired at military and civilian infrastructure, using tanks, armored combat vehicles, as well as barrel and jet artillery:
In the Siverskyi direction, mortar fire was recorded in the areas of Hai in Chernihiv region and Volfyne, Zapsillia, Manukhivka, and Stukalivka in Sumy region;
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Prudyanka, Chornohlazivka, Myronivka, Velyki Prohody, Ruska and Cherkaska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky,and Cherkaski Tyshky;
in the Sloviansk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Slovyansk, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Dolyna, Krasnopillya, Dmytrivka and Dovhenke were shelled by the occupiers;
in the Kramatorsk direction, the Russians shelled the areas of Tetyanivka, Kryva Luka, Spirne, Vesele, and Hryhorivka;
in the Bakhmut direction, the enemy mortars, tanks, barrel and jet artillery opened fire in the areas of Bakhmutske, Soledar, Bakhmut, New York, Zaitseve, Vesela Dolyna, Mayorsk, and Yakovlivka;
in the Avdiyivka direction, the settlements of Avdiyivka, Opytne, Vodiane, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske were fired upon;
The enemy ran no active offensive operations in the Novopavlivka direction, while the districts of Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Solodke, Shevchenko, Zolota Nyva, Pavlivka, and Vremivka were affected by Russian fire;
in the Zaporizhia direction, the occupiers employed mortars, barrel and jet artillery in the areas of Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaki, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaki, Bilohirya, Novopil, Vilne Pole, and Shevchenko;
in the South Buh direction, the enemy fired barrel and jet artillery along the entire line of contact. In addition, Russian UAVs flew 34 aerial reconnaissance missions.
Private military companies operating in the temporarily occupied territories, in particular, in the settlement of Oleksandrivka, Kharkiv region, are suffering significant losses. Individual units have more than 40 percent of manpower seriously wounded and killed. Many bodies have not been identified, therefore being reported as missing in action.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces hold their ground and prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into the territory of Ukraine. Ukraine’s soldiers managed to successfully repel enemy attacks in the areas of Hryhorivka, Zaitseve, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, and Opytne.
In order to support the actions of the ground troops, the Air Force delivered 27 strikes and destroyed ammunition depots, inflicting damage on almost 40 Russian strongholds and manpower and equipment clusters.
Air defense units destroyed a Su-25 attack aircraft, a Ka-52 helicopter, an unmanned aerial vehicle, and five X-101 cruise missiles.
Missile troops and artillery are continuing to inflict fire damage to Russian manpower and combat equipment, engage in counter-battery combat, disrupt the enemy's control system and supply routes. In general, as a result of the fire impact, damage was inflicted to seven command points and 13 manpower clusters. Radars and communication stations, a bridge and a number of pontoon crossings, three ammo and fuel depots were hit, which significantly reducing combat and logistical capabilities of the invasion forces.
