Ukraine’s Army destroys two Russian ammo depots, ferry crossing in Kherson region
That’s according to Operational Command South, Ukrinform reports.
"The situation in the southern operational zone remains difficult but controlled by our Defense Forces. The enemy continues to focus its efforts on maintaining gained positions, actively conducting aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles. But the precision strikes by our units left two unmanned spies with no prospects for further use, destroying all photo and video data that had been gathered," the statement reads.
According to the Ukrainian military, the enemy is trying to find ways to improve their supplies by organizing pontoon crossings across the Dnipro and Inhulets. At the same time, the Russians inflict missile, artillery, and air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops and peaceful settlements.
Throughout the day, the aggressors delivered 30 air strikes and a missile attack on the positions of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, also launching four R-27 missiles at our planes that were engaging the enemy.
"Our aircraft inflicted six strikes, while our missile and artillery units – 265, in particular on MLR systems, weapons and equipment clusters, and pontoon crossings in the area of Nova Kakhovka. The bridges remain under our tight fire control without the possibility of their repair and use," emphasized OC South.
Enemy losses over the past day include: 59 soldiers, three Uragan MLR systems along with a transport charger, two Pion self-propelled artillery guns, a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, three self-propelled artillery and mortar units, a T-72 main battle tank, and six armored combat vehicles. Two ammunition depots in Beryslav district and a ferry crossing in Nova Kakhovka were also destroyed.
"The enemy group of forces in the Black Sea currently consists of 19 warships and cutters, including three surface-to-surface missile carriers equipped with 24 Kalibr missiles." Therefore, the threat of a missile strike prevails, remaining quite likely," added the Command.
As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated nearly 51,250 Russian invaders from February 24 to September 8.
