Russian missiles dropped 30 km away from South Ukraine NPP – Energoatom

On September 11, 2022, Russian troops again opened fire on the city of Voznesensk, Mykolaiv Region, which is 30 kilometers away from South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

The relevant statement was made by Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We cannot rule out that the missiles fired by rashists were aimed at South Ukraine NPP, which the Russian military attempted to seize back in early March. Their attempt failed at that time: the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped the invaders,” the report states.

A reminder that, on September 11, 2022, civil infrastructure in Mykolaiv Region’s Voznesensk was struck with Russian missiles. Casualties were reported. In addition, last night the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units shot down two enemy missiles in Voznesensk District.
