Ukraine Army liberates another 13 settlements in country’s south
That’s according to Operational Command South, Ukrinform reports.
"Our Southern Defense Forces are acting quite successfully and convincingly in their zone of responsibility. As of today, since the start of active operations, we have managed to push the front line forward by four to 12 km. The total area of the liberated territories is more than 500 sq. km. Thirteen settlements have been liberated, including Vysokopillia, Novovoznesenske, Bilohirka, Sukhyi Stavok, and Myroliubivka," the statement reads.
Over the past two weeks, Russian death toll in the area amounted to 1,800. More than 150 control, command, and support points were hit, as well as 122 main battle tanks, over 500 armored combat vehicles, 134 artillery systems, nearly 20 self-propelled artillery guns, two warplanes, two helicopters, 13 UAVs, and 70 ammunition depots. Up to 140 strikes engaged bridges and crossings previously used by enemy forces.
The enemy is demoralized, looking for ways to flee the battlefield.
"But the occupiers still have a lot of might and power. The fighting continues, and the insidiousness of our enemy, which is targeting civilian and critical infrastructure sites and residential areas, cannot be underestimated," noted the Operational Command.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine’s firepower disrupts Russian attempts to bring in sufficient reserves to the right bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region.
