Ukrainian presidential adviser calls on Germany to supply tanks to Ukraine
Podolyak tweeted that the so-called "ring exchange" system is currently not working, according to Ukrinform.
"For six months, the allies have been arguing over who should sell tanks to Ukraine. For six months, there are no tanks because there is no 'political decision' about it. Russia continues the terror, people die, time flies. Germany, we are waiting for your word," he said.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, expressed regret over the stance pursued by the German government, which is refusing to send offensive weapons to Ukraine, including Leopard tanks and Marder infantry fighting vehicles.
At a joint press conference with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Kyiv on September 10, Kuleba said he saw no obstacles to Germany supplying Leopard main battle tanks to Ukraine.
