Ukrainian army repels enemy attacks near eight settlements

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its latest situational update posted to Facebook.

According to the report, the enemy continues to focus its efforts on attempts to completely capture the Donetsk region, hold temporarily captured territories and disrupt the active operations of Ukrainian troops in certain directions.

"The Russian occupiers continue shelling our positions along the contact line, trying to take measures to regroup their troops in separate directions and conducting aerial reconnaissance. There remains a threat of enemy air and missile strikes across Ukraine," the General Staff said.

According to the report, the enemy continues to attack civilians and civilian infrastructure, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war.

Russian air and missile strikes and MLRS fire damaged infrastructure outside the settlements of Bilohorivka, Mykolaivka, Verkhniokamianske, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Yurivka, New York, Pervomaiske, Kamianka, Vremivka, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Sukhyi Stavok, Kostromka, Bila Krynytsia and Myrne.

In the past 24 hours, the enemy launched two missile strikes, eight airstrikes and conducted 13 attacks using rocket artillery systems on objects across Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, Russian troops continue looting. About 300 civilian cars, mostly with license plates of the Kharkiv region, were spotted at a section of the Starobilsk - Luhansk highway, moving towards Luhansk. Most vehicles with trailers, loaded with looted property, are driven by Russian military personnel.

According to the General Staff, a similar trend is observed in the settlements of the temporarily captured territories in southern Ukraine. In the town of Polohy, Zaporizhzhia region, Russian invaders break down the gates of private garages and steal private cars from local residents. In Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, the invaders began to take away furniture and household appliances from temporarily abandoned settlements.

Ukraine's defense forces successfully repelled enemy attacks outside Zaitseve, Odradivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Avdiivka, Bezimenne and Novohryhorivka.
