Over 120 enemy troops, pontoon crossing destroyed in southern Ukraine
The relevant statement was made by the South Operational Command on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The situation in the operational zone is tense but dynamically developed and controlled by the Defense Forces. The enemy continues conducting hostilities within the previously equipped defense frontiers, giving in and choosing remote actions. During the combat day, the enemy continued to launch missile and artillery strikes all over the contact line and adjacent settlements with civilians,” the report states.
Russian aircraft launched 18 strikes on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
Ukraine’s aviation struck enemy positions nine times. Near Davydiv Brid, the Ukrainian air defense missile units destroyed Russia’s Su-24M bomber and Mi-8 helicopter.
According to the South Operational Command, over the past day, the Ukrainian missile and artillery units have completed over 430 fire missions. Three enemy personnel and military equipment clusters were struck in Milove and Dudchany, as well as three command posts in Urozhaine and Kherson. With inflicting fire damage, Ukrainian forces again adjusted the enemy’s attempts to repair the Kakhovka Bridge, which is out of service now. The Ukrainian units also struck an enemy pontoon crossing in Darivka, and it can no longer be used.
The enemy’s losses were confirmed as follows: 121 Russian troops, five tanks, nine armored vehicles, three Msta-B howitzers, two Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers, two Pantsir-S1 missile systems, one command and staff vehicle, one electronic warfare system and four ammunition depots.
Russia’s naval group in the Black Sea increased to 16 vessels, including four surface missile carriers and one submarine, equipped with 36 Kalibr-type cruise missiles in total.
