Almost 5,000 Ukrainian recruits complete training in Britain
That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
"Currently, with the involvement of instructors from Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Ukraine and the United Kingdom, almost 5,000 of our servicemen have successfully completed training. They have gained basic knowledge, skills, and abilities in tactical medicine, engineering, live-fire, psychological, and tactical training, including in running offensive and defensive missions in an urban setting," the statement reads.
The General Staff noted that the combined military training of Ukrainian servicemen in Britain will continue. The program launched by the British government is called Operation INTERFLEX.
In the near future, the operation is set to be expanded, including by launching a training course for junior commanders of military units.
"Operation INTERFLEX is one of the vivid examples of international support for our country and convincing evidence proving that Ukraine is not alone in its fight against Russian aggression," reads the statement.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Great Britain has significantly expanded the training program for Ukrainian recruits. The number of Ukrainians who will take part in the training has been increased to tens of thousands, while the duration of the course has been extended from three to five weeks.
