Three collaborators detained in Izium, Kupiansk
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation reported this on the messaging app Telegram.
Two former law enforcement officers were exposed and detained in Izium, the report said.
After the start of the full-scale war, a tax service official continued her work in the enemy's "administration." She was engaged in hiring personnel for the "city council" and provided information to Russian forces about Ukrainian patriots.
"To reward the Russians for their trust, the woman did not skip mass events where she proudly told pro-Kremlin propagandists how good her life had become. Stories from her interviews were circulated on Russian channels," the report said.
Another traitor joined the ranks of the so-called "people's militia." She persuaded her former colleagues from the Izium police department to join the Russians. The woman also showed the invaders the location of all government bodies in the city.
Another Ukrainian citizen went to work in a tax agency created by the invaders in Kupiansk. She took money from the population for the benefit of the Russians under the guise of collecting taxes.
The three are suspected of treason under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
